Bless the Town of Kenly's heart: They just can't seem to fix the pot holes on Third Street. I believe one day a car will be swallowed up by one of them holes. Don't the town have no gravel in can throw in them?

I just seen on your web site that Scott Richardson was named detective of the year. He's a good guy and probably deserves it.

Quit Picking on Barlow We wholeheartedly support and genuinely appreciate our Selma Town Manager, Jon Barlow. It was reported by The Selma News and WTSB that there was an extensive, closed-session meeting (Mar 9) in which some council members questioned Mr. Barlow's living arrangement and wanted to void his contract. This follows the failed motion to remove Mr. Barlow for the same reasons at the council meeting on Jan 13. Mr. Barlow has remained a source of continuity at a time when our town has experienced extensive turnover (for example, multiple town clerks). Under his leadership: - The town has produced balanced budgets and received positive audit reports. - After years of neglect, the town's electric, water, and sewer funds are finally headed towards self-sufficiency. - We were able to obtain a grant for the Noble Street Interceptor Project. - Selma now has a Town Hall that actually meets town code. - The town's technology infrastructure has been updated to achieve higher custom
